History of NFGAB
Nordic Fastening Group AB – three successful companies that have become one
We can help you with the right solution, pretty much whatever sector you are working in. Our breadth – both in respect of our knowledge and our product range – stems from the fact that NFG has its origins in three highly skilled companies, each with their own specialist area.
- Bult & Fästteknik, which possesses specialist knowledge regarding connections in steel.
- Neofac, which possesses specialist knowledge regarding heavy lifting and connections in concrete.
- Neofac Polska, which is a production unit that principally manufactures welded items.
Nordic Fastening Group is now part of the Koppernaes Fasteners AS group.
Follow our journey from a small business into a well-established company on the global market for fasteners.
1991 - 1993
Bult & Fästteknik – a new company
Bult & Fästteknik starts up in Surte Glassworks’ old premises. In the warehouse there is room for some 20 pallets and 10 metres of picking shelves.
The company’s suppliers are based in Sweden and its customers are located in the local area around Surte and Kungälv. We drive the deliveries ourselves in our own pick-up.
Sales 1993: SEK 2.5 million
Employees 1993: 3
1994
Bult & Fästteknik moves to larger premises
When the 300 m² warehouse becomes too small, we move to Bilgatan 18 in the Rollsbo industrial area in Kungälv. We start importing more from German wholesalers.
With marketing in several engineering magazines and direct mailing to small and medium-sized industries, we reach a larger clientele and sell fasteners across the whole of southern Sweden. We produce our first catalogue in folder form.
1996 - 1999
Bult & Fästteknik in Asia
In 1996, we make our first contacts in India.
We make our first journey to China in 1998. This is the starting shot for a collaboration that is still ongoing today. We now make approximately four journeys a year to our suppliers in China.

Neofac Bygg & Prefabprodukter is acquired
Bult & Fästteknik acquires Neofac Bygg & Prefabprodukter. Neofac AB is responsible from now on for products to the concrete industry.
Project: The Öresund Bridge is inaugurated on 1 July. As Bult & Fästteknik had delivered fasteners for the bridge construction, it was particularly pleasing that a team of delighted individuals from the company’s workforce were able to take part in the very first Bridge Run event on 12 July.
